Multi-Camera Music Videos with Lossless Audio
Film your band, set, or session from several iPhones and keep the sound exactly as your audio interface captured it. Plug a USB audio interface or mixer into one of the camera iPhones and Videk records it as a lossless 24-bit WAV — bit-for-bit, alongside every camera angle.
How It Works
Studio-quality sound and multiple angles, with gear you already own.
- 1Connect your audio interface to a camera iPhone
Plug a USB audio interface or mixer into an iPhone or iPad running Videk Camera. Send it your stereo mix — the first two inputs are used.
- 2Select it as the audio source
In Videk Director, choose that camera as the audio source. Its audio travels to the Director uncompressed over local Wi-Fi, so nothing is lost on the way.
- 3Record every angle and the audio
Hit record and every camera captures its own track while the Director writes the audio as a 24-bit WAV at your interface's sample rate, kept in sync with the video.
- 4Edit, mix, and master
Export to DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or iMovie with the WAV on its own track, ready for mixing and mastering — or stream the performance live with real-time camera switching.
Built for Live Music
Bit-for-Bit Lossless Audio
Audio is recorded as a 24-bit WAV at the source's own sample rate (for example 48 kHz) — an exact copy of what your interface produced, with no compression at any stage.
USB Audio Interfaces
Use the interface or mixer you already have, connected to any camera iPhone or iPad. That camera can still film an angle while it carries the audio.
Every Angle Kept
Each iPhone records its own full-length track — drums, keys, vocals, wide stage — so you can re-cut the performance in post.
Audio Locked to Video
Audio and every camera share one recording clock. Wi-Fi hiccups become brief silence instead of drifting your sound out of sync.
Live Streaming Too
Stream the show to YouTube, Twitch, or any RTMP server at up to 320 kbps AAC while the lossless recording runs.
Ready for Your Editor
Export to DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro with your live camera switches on the timeline and the WAV on its own track (Pro).
vs. Recording Audio and Video Separately
The usual approach is a separate audio recorder plus several cameras, then syncing everything by waveform in post and hoping nothing drifted. With Videk, the lossless audio and every camera angle are recorded together on one clock, so the session arrives in your editor already in sync. One limit to know: Videk records stereo — the first two inputs of your interface — so send it your stereo mix rather than individual multitrack stems.
